Are You Trying To Delete Old XML Sitemap on Google Search Console?
Steps:
- Go to Google.com
- Add Google Search Console in the search box
- Select Google Search Console in the top of Google search results
- Log In using your Google account information
- Select the website you are working on. If you have one website, it will be automatically selected
- Once your website is selected, click on sitemaps from the list
- Now that you have your sitemaps, select the old one and click on it
- In this last step, click on the dots at the top right side of the screen and remove sitemap

It is important to make sure that your sitemaps are added to google search console to help improve your website visibility in Google search engine.
If for any reason you have an old XML sitemap on google search console , you need to remove it and keep only the updated ones.
