Mercari Local– Mercari announced its nationwide partnership with Uber to allow buyers and sellers to buy and sell locally.
How Does it Work for Sellers?
- List an item (Select Mercari Local in the delivery section of the listing).
- Schedule pickup (Once the item sells, Mercari will ask you to schedule a time for pickup).
- Place the item sold for pickup (The driver will pick up the item at your chosen time).
- Get Paid (No changes here. You get paid when the buyer rates the transaction).
How Much Does Mercari Take?
Listing on Mercari is free. You get charged a fee when an item is sold and a transaction is complete.
Mercari charges its sellers 2 type of fees:
- Seller Fee: a minimum of 10% of the item price for a completed sale.
- Payment Processing Fee: (2.9% + $0.30) based on the completed sale price of the item.
